Visits start with a phone call to the office. During that call, we want to hear a little about the reason you are considering an appointment, the kind of treatment you are looking for, and insurance information. If it seems like we can be helpful, we will schedule an initial consultation.
During the initial visit, I will gather information from you, review any records you might have from prior treatments, and answer your questions. We will then decide together whether or not this is the best treatment setting for you.
A follow-up appointment will then be scheduled or you will be provided referral and other information for alternative treatment settings that are better suited to your needs. Some people have been disappointed when referred elsewhere, but please understand that we are trying to assist you get the help you need in the appropriate setting. The initial visit is an important part of making treatment recommendations. These recommendations are made regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay out-of-pocket.
