Payment for services provided by Central Berkshire Psychiatric is due at the time services are rendered unless payment by health insurance has been arranged prior to the visit. If insurance coverage has been arranged, payment of any applicable co-payment or deductible is due at the time of your visit. You can pay these fees by cash, check, credit card, or flex spending account card.
We accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, commercial Health New England, and Medicare. We do not accept MassHealth (including Health New England Be Healthy, Tufts Health Together, or Tufts Health Unify), or programs managed by Beacon Health Strategies for the mental health portion of the plan (such as Fallon Community Health Plan). If you have a PPO type plan, there are typically out of network benefits that will cover the cost of your visits. We will do our best to help verify coverage, but it is not always possible and it is your responsibility to check benefits with your insurance carrier prior to your appointment. Many clients choose to pay on a fee-for-service basis, also known as out-of-pocket, even if they have insurance that would cover the visit. This approach protects your privacy to the highest degree possible because no claims, which include diagnosis information and type of visit, are sent. It also allows for greater flexibility in developing a treatment plan with you since we are not subject to limitations imposed by insurance companies. I understand that this policy does not work for all potential clients, and I apologize if it does not work well for you. There are excellent providers in Berkshire County and the surrounding areas that accept other health plans including MassHealth.
