What if I have an emergency? We do not provide 24-hour crisis services. If you need help after-hours and it cannot wait until the next business day, you should immediately call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call Berkshire County Crisis at (413) 499-0412. You should also call (413) 238-1277. This number goes to voicemail, which will then alert me that a message has been left. If needed, I can call you back sooner than the next business day.
You take my insurance, don't you have to see me? No. Treatment recommendations are made based on the needs of the individual and the ability of CBPS to provide appropriate treatment. Insurance status or the ability to pay out-of-pocket do not factor into these decisions. Decisions to treat an individual are at the sole discretion of Dr. Doshier.
What if something happens to my medication? You must wait until our next appointment or your next scheduled refill for replacement. This is especially true for medications like Suboxone, benzodiazepines (Ativan, Klonopin), and stimulants (Ritalin, Adderall). These medications will not be refilled early. It is your responsibility to protect medications and prescriptions from loss, damage, and theft.
How do I get refills of my medications? We will make every effort to supply the appropriate refills during your appointment. However, if you are going to run out of medication between appointments, just call the office to let us know. Please give at least 3 business days notice to allow time to process the refill request and to submit any necessary prior authorizations to your insurance company.
